​MEET PIPER

This 5-year-old Great Dane is ready to find her forever family!

Piper came into our care after her previous owner could no longer afford the ongoing medical care needed for her happy tail. After a month of healing and some much-needed TLC, we believe it’s finally time for Piper to start her next chapter!

Piper will need a special home where she can be an active part of the family. After spending time getting to know her, we suspect her tail injuries may have been caused by repeatedly hitting her tail while having big feelings  about being separated from her people during the day, while her family was home.

Piper doesn’t seem to have separation anxiety in the typical sense. She just really, really loves her people and wants to be wherever they are. She will be your very own giant, four legged shadow!

Piper is kennel and house trained, knows basic commands, and is an expert lap dog!

She has been housed with another Great Dane, and the two have had an absolute blast together! She has also previously lived with kittens and small children, making her a pretty versatile addition to the right family.

Our biggest wish for Piper is a home that understands her needs, includes her in everyday life, and can help her feel comfortable and secure when she can’t be right beside her favorite people.
