Luna is a two-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart who is absolutely overflowing with love. She came to us from a very difficult situation, but thanks to our wonderful friends at Mat-Su Animal Shelter, she was given a second chance at the life she deserves.

It’s believed Luna had at least two litters of puppies before coming into the shelter. She was spayed immediately upon arrival, so she’s officially baby-free forever—though she’ll always carry a bit of that gentle, nurturing “mom energy” with her.

Luna has been fostered with an older child and did great, and she’s also done well around younger kids. While she has limited experience with cats, we believe she would likely do just fine given her loving, easygoing nature.

She’s currently being fostered alongside a Great Dane (!!!) and would truly thrive in a home with another playful dog friend to run, romp, and cuddle with. Luna is still young and has lots to learn, but she’s already made amazing progress. She has overcome her crate anxiety and will now go in and lie down peacefully on her own—such a big win!

She does still have some separation anxiety to work through, but with patience, consistency, and love, she continues to improve every day. Overall, Luna is an incredibly special girl with a huge heart, and she’s ready to give that love to a forever family who will give her the world in return. 💛
